I chose a dried leaf as it is that time of year and I like leaves. Here is my second attempt to draw this subject! I found it difficult to know in what sequence I should use the different softness of pencil. To see the subtle differences in tone, to get the darker areas more distinctive and in this second attempt I had to make a deliberate attempt to consider marks more carefully ie with the end result in mind. Obvious, but I was getting lost.
